Straight from ground at the Sundance Film Festival, visionary filmmaker, Tari Wariebi, joined the FNM fam to talk about We Were Meant To, his beautiful and powerful short that is making waves at its world premiere. We Were Meant To takes place in a world where black men have wings and their first flight is a rite of passage; 16 year-old Akil (Tim Johnson Jr.) must defy societal barriers to discover his perfect launch into manhood. Tari also also gives Shai and Becky their horoscopes (based on favorite Michael Jackson songs), talks about working with FNM favorite Luke Tennie (Deadly Class, We Were Meant To), and makes his predictions for our mutually beloved Philadelphia Eagles in the playoffs.
